On August 18, Paulina Tee Choc, 29, was hit and killed by a pickup truck while riding an e-bike in Brooklyn, according to police.
Also on August 18, Angelo Camara, 51, was hit and killed while riding a bike by a fleeing BMW driver in the Bronx, police said.
On August 20, Mamadou Diallo, 40, was hit and killed while riding a bike by another fleeing BMW driver in Brooklyn, police said.
On August 23, Destiny Murrell, 22, was hit and killed by a fleeing vehicle while in the crosswalk in the West Village, police said.
Activists say cyclist fatalities are up significantly compared to this time last year.
