We’ve reached yet another Friday and this one comes with the release of a brand new Spider-Man movie and I gotta say as someone who has already seen it I very much enjoyed it. Not a perfect film but a lot of heart, a lot of action, and a lot of fun. What else could you want in a movie? Go see it if you can! Now, this week on the NCAA Reacts questions I wanted you all to tell me what you thought Purdue football’s record would be in games where a trophy is on the line. That means games against Illinois, Notre Dame, and of course the Indiana Hoosiers. All three trophies are currently in enemy hands and Purdue will have an opportunity to earn each of them back this season. Can they earn any of them back? That’s what I wanted to know.
In an unsurprising result 73% of respondents believed that Purdue would have an 0-3 record in games with a trophy on the line. I can’t say I blame them. I was thinking at best 1-2 with MAYBE a win over Illinois if things go perfectly for the Boilermakers. Just how bleak were things in the comments of this poll? Check it out:

Are they still considered trophy games if your team is incapable of winning a trophy? Less than 4 months from basketball season!

Purdue football now accepts participation trophies
That’s tough to read from your own fans but it’s also hard to argue with. Here was another gem:

0-6. They’ll lose bad enough to have lost twice.
So, it seems like there’s a clear consensus on how this Purdue season is going to go, but ya know what? There’s a reason they play the games. You just never know what could happen on any given Friday/Saturday. That’s why we love sports.
