Minnesota ran its winning streak to six games with a 94-84 road win over the Washington Mystics on Friday night, but lost guard Courtney Williams to a right foot injury in the closing seconds. Olivia Miles finished with 24 points, and Natasha Howard went for 21 points and seven rebounds as the Lynx rested Napheesa Collier. Kayla McBride scored 18 points, and Williams had 13 points and eight assists.
The Valkyries erased a 21-point deficit before losing on a late 3-pointer in a 73-70 road defeat to the Chicago Sky on Friday night. Laeticia Amihere scored a career-high 16 points off the bench, reserve Janelle Salaün added 13, and Veronica Burton tossed in 11. Tiffany Hayes went for 10 points and seven rebounds as well.
The Lynx can complete a 4-0 season sweep of Golden State on Monday night. Miles averages 20.0 points and 6.2 assists, Collier scores 19.0 points per game, and Howard gets 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds a night. Gabby Williams leads the Valkyries with an average of 14.4 points, Salaün nets 13.1 points per game, and Burton books 12.4 points and 5.5 assists per outing.
