The story of the day: Travis Hunter.

Player attendance
Did not practice (on the Physically Unable to Perform list): LT Cole Van Lanen (knee) and OT Garrett DiGiorgio (foot). LB Jack Kiser (knee) remains out but is expected to return at some point during camp. All other players practiced.
Top plays
Take your pick: Hunter's catch down the right sideline from Trevor Lawrence, with former Colorado teammate Preston Hodges holding onto Hunter's jersey for dear life, or Hunter's interception of Nick Mullens down the left sideline on a ball intended for tight end Quintin Morris. It was Hunter's first interception in two seasons of camp in an 11-on-11 period.
It's worth noting that Mullens shouldn't have let this one loose. It was into coverage, and it was more Morris' credit that he actually had a handle on the ball before Hunter swiped it.

Mullens did rally on an 11-on-11 two-minute drill period when he completed three passes, one to CJ Williams in which the rookie beat Hunter in single coverage and another for a touchdown to Morris, who was wide open due to busted coverage.

Lawrence completed only 1 of five passes during a two-minute drill, overthrowing Brian Thomas Jr., and Brenton Strange . On the bright side, it was Lawrence's first practice without an interception and he later threw a 20-yard TD pass to Parker Washington, who made a sliding catch.
Odds and ends
Lawrence completed 7 of 13 passes in 11-on-11 periods and Mullens was 12 of 14. Lawrence was 4 of 4 during a brief 7-on-7 period. In four practices in helmets/shorts and spiders, Lawrence is 25 of 43 and Mullens is 26 of 43.
Through a combination of good coverage and good pass rushing, Jaguars ' quarterbacks had to tuck and run four times in team periods.
The defensive backs got their hands on fewer balls in this practice. In addition to Hunter's interception, Keni-H Lovely was the only other player who had a pass breakup.
The Jaguars offense had one pre-snap penalty and had to regroup several other times to get the play called.
Kicker Cam Little was good on two attempts against a rush, from 32 and 49 yards. He hasn't missed under live situations in camp.
Jaguars sign former Travis Hunter teammate
The Jaguars announced on Aug. 2 that they had signed second-year LB Jared Bartlett, who played college at West Virginia and Cincinnati and was a teammate with Hunter at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Ga.
The Jags made room for Bartlett by waiving wide receiver Ben Patterson, who caught two passes in his last training camp practice on July 31.
Bartlett signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and spent time with the Packers, Cardinals and Arizona. He played two games with no stats for the Cardinals. Barlett was picked up during the offseason by Carolina and waived last week.
He had 202 tackles, 32.5 for losses, 21.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in six college seasons.
How many snaps did Travis Hunter play?
Hunter had seven offensive plays and 10 defensive plays during 11-on-11 periods. He had two offensive plays and one defensive play in the Jags' only 7-on-7 period of the day.
For the first four practices, Hunter has 22 offensive snaps and 34 defensive snaps in 11-on-11 and five offensive snaps and seven defensive snaps in 7-on-7. That brings his total to 27 on offense and 41 on defense.
Hunter has caught three passes, broken up three and intercepted one.

Upcoming schedule
After the first practice in pads on Aug. 3, the Jaguars will practice Aug. 4, are off on Aug. 5 and practice on Aug. 6.
The next session in which fans are admitted is on Aug. 7 for a mock game. Tickets for that practice, Aug. 9 and Aug. 23, are also depleted.
Free tickets remain for only two more training camp practices, Aug. 19 (joint practice with the Carolina Panthers) and Aug. 25 (the first of two joint practices with the Tampa Bay Bucs).
