LeBron James ended weeks of speculation by signing with the Philadelphia 76ers , which vaulted the franchise from No. 12 to No. 5 in ESPN's updated offseason power rankings .
Most people thought he would pick the Miami Heat or Golden State Warriors . Instead, James is chasing his fifth ring with a historic franchise that hasn't won a championship since 1983.
So, the 41-year-old's decision sent shockwaves across the entire sports community. Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown was one of many athletes tracking the news. Instead of watching it through a strict basketball lens, he shared the excitement with a unique visual.
On his Instagram story, Overshown posted a photoshopped Topps card featuring LeBron in a 76ers No. 23 jersey with a "BREAKING" graphic. He captioned the card , "Philly but 6ers we up!"

However, Overshown's joke isn't about James. It is mostly about the city of Philadelphia. Dallas and the Philadelphia Eagles have one of the bitterest rivalries in the NFL. Philly fans are famous for being rowdy, and Cowboys players know that hostile crowd well. So, the entire thing is turned into a fun sports jab at the fanbase, not at the four-time NBA champion.
Overshown knows a lot about tough times. The 2023 draft pick missed his first year with a torn ACL. Then, in late 2024, he tore three major ligaments in his other knee. Doctors thought he would miss all of 2025, but he beat the odds. He returned halfway through the season to play six games. Now in 2026, he tells reporters he is finally 100% healthy.
However, the newly formed super-team of James, Jaylen Brown, and Joel Embiid officially gives the Sixers the most fearsome lineup in the NBA on paper. By combining LeBron's championship DNA and Brown's elite wing presence with Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, Philly boasts an unmatched star-studded core capable of terrifying any opponent.
And if this core can execute things properly on the court, then there is a very high chance James will get his fifth ring before his deal ends with Philly.
