With storms delaying the start and more in the forecast, Monday's series opener between the Reds and Cleveland Guardians has officially been postponed. MLB.com's Mark Sheldon relayed the news on Bluesky.
Reds ace Chase Burns, who was originally scheduled to pitch on Monday, will start the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader in Great American Ball Park. That game is set for 1:40 PM ET as part of a planned day-night doubleheader.
Brady Singer, who was already set to start Tuesday's second game of the series, was scheduled to start the night game. That one is currently slated for its original 7:10 PM ET start, though there are currently some mixed calls on how the Reds will begin Game 2. Charlie Goldsmith intimated they'll use 'an opener' for that one – presumably with Singer taking over after – while C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic suggested it will be a 'bullpen game 2."

Monday's game was originally scheduled to be televised nationally on ESPN, and there's been no distinct word whether ESPN will carry the first game on Tuesday or whether that will be passed over to the Reds.com crew.
