Bajaj went further, breaking down how differing muscle demands and reaction speeds shape each sport's athletic requirements.
"In football, you use muscles which are fast-twitch muscles, and there is no time to make decision-making," he said.
"It has to be natural because of the number of times you've done it in your life before," he explained, using Lionel Messi as an example of instinctive, split-second movement rather than conscious deliberation.
He then contrasted that with cricket's more anticipatory nature.
"In cricket, you know the ball is going to come, it's going to come, and then you're going to smash it," he said.
"Now you are waiting for the ball, it's going to come, you know it's going to come in this area. You're waiting. Yes, fast-twitch muscles are used right in the end when the reflex is there. But before that, you know your first movement towards the ball and like that is because of where the ball is pitched."
