Tavai, 29, was released by the Patriots in March after spending the past two seasons in New England. In 2025, Tavai totaled 42 tackles and a forced fumble in 12 games with seven starts. He saw action on 228 defensive snaps and 218 on special teams.
Tavai entered the NFL as a second-round pick of the Lions in 2019 and has played 107 games with 67 starts in his seven seasons. He has recorded 432 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hits, 14 passes defensed, six forced fumbles, 5.5 sacks, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
