Australia's Lucas Herbert followed an impressive showing at last week's Open at Royal Birkdale with a record-setting victory at the LIV Golf UK event in Staffordshire. <p>Herbert, who finished tied for sixth in the final men's major of the year, four shots adrift of champion Ryan Fox, romped to the LIV trophy in Rocester with a score of 30 under par.</p><p>That was the lowest winning score since the circuit was established in 2022 and left the 30-year-old six strokes clear of Tyrrell Hatton and nine in front of Bryson DeChambeau.</p><ul><li><strong><a href="https://www.livgolf.com/leaderboard/2026/uk">Final leaderboard: </a></strong><a href="https://www.livgolf.com/leaderboard/2026/uk"><strong>LIV Golf UK (external site)</strong></a></li><li><strong><a href="https://www.sky.com/tv/sports?dcmp=Ilc_skysports_nc_articlelink">Get Sky Sports</a> or <a href="http://www.nowtv.com/membership/watch-sky-sports?DCMP=ilc_skysports_nc_articlelink">stream golf through NOW</a></strong></li></ul><widget id="2"></widget><p>Herbert also set the LIV record for most birdies in a tournament (30) and most combined birdies and eagles (32) after a 10-under, blemish-free 62 on Sunday.</p><p>He had begun the event with an 11-under 61 that contained 10 birdies and an eagle and his worst round all week was a three-under 69 on Saturday.</p><p>Herbert shot an eight-under 62 in the second round of the Open earlier this month and said after his victory at Rocester, his second of the LIV season after triumphing in Virginia in May: "I just wanted to carry that into this week the best I could.</p> <widget id="3"></widget><p>"It was good to play like that today when I was being pushed by two of the best players in the world."</p><p>Hatton carded a nine under 63 on Sunday and said: "I wanted to get off to a fast start, which I did, but unfortunately Lucas did as well.</p><p>"It would have been amazing to win in front of home fans, but I tried my best. Lucas was incredible this week."</p>
