Netflix confirmed a slew of other renewals on Monday, including season two of the Dublin-set House of Guinness , Neil Forsyth's Legends with Steve Coogan, Being Gordon Ramsay , as well as a ninth season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive .
Attention, however, will almost certainly be on the Theo James-led Gentlemen , which also releases its season two trailer — watch below — in line with the renewal confirmation. The show co-stars Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Joshua McGuire, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito and Ray Winstone, with Downton Abbey 's Hugh Bonneville joining the cast. The Duchess of Sussex — who is moving back to the U.K. with husband Prince Harry — was being eyed for a starring role in the next season of The Gentlemen , but on Saturday, former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker Tina Brown said Markle has been dropped from consideration after "intense backlash in the U.K."
Her role was reportedly being written for the third season, but The Hollywood Reporter did not hear back from reps for Markle or Ritchie over the weekend. Brown, author of two bestselling books about the royal family, said she stands by her reporting.
Creator, writer, director and executive producer Ritchie said about the confirmation of a third installment: "The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further."
The news follows more renewals including Love Is Blind U.K. season four, The Rest Is Football season two, Black Doves season two, At Home With the Furys season three, Black Mirror season eight and Supacell season two.
