Many questions about what happened in the early morning hours of January 29, 2022, at 34 Fairview Road still remain unanswered. John O’Keefe, a 16-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, was found dead in the snow in front of a fellow Boston cop’s house after a night out with his then-girlfriend Karen Read, friends, and fellow members of law enforcement and their families. Prosecutors alleged that in a fit of rage, Read rammed into John with her vehicle while she was drunk and left him to die. Read’s team laid out a different story— they claimed that O’Keefe got into an altercation inside the house and was attacked by the family dog. On top of that, they alleged there was a sinister cover-up orchestrated by law enforcement and party-goers to frame Read for O’Keefe’s death.
