It's Week 0. We're days away from the 2026 college football season kicking off. However, SEC fans have to wait one more week. The SEC will wait until the traditional Week 1 to put toe leather.
Earlier this month, ESPN's Bill Connelly released his final preseason SP+ rankings. Preseason projections, especially in the transfer portal era, are tricky. But the SP+ ratings have a strong track record.
For those unfamiliar with SP+, here's how Connelly describes it:
"SP+ is a tempo- and opponent-adjusted measure of college football efficiency. It is a predictive measure of the most sustainable and predictable aspects of football, not a résumé ranking, and, along those same lines, these projections aren't intended to be a guess at what the AP Top 25 will look like at the end of the year," Connely writes.
Today, we'll take a look at where every offense in the SEC ranks in Connelly's model.

Ten of the top 25 offenses in college football belong to the SEC. That should bode well for SEC representation in the college football playoff and the entertainment product put on the field this fall.
SP+ projects LSU's first offense under Lane Kiffin to rank No. 8 in the conference. That's middle of the pack, but given how poor LSU was last year and how many transfers the Tigers are relying on, it makes sense for a computer rating.
Tennessee is projected to have the SEC's best offense. SP+ is usually high on Josh Heupel's offense.
Texas' offense is projected as the No. 4 offense in the SEC, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Longhorns finish higher with Arch Manning back at QB and the firepower at the skill positions.
