See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Northern Texas PGA Foundation and Royal Oaks Country Club raised more than a quarter-million dollars for junior golf during the 2026 Jerry J. Ransom Pro-Junior-Am on Monday.
Now in its ninth year after debuting in 2018, the annual tournament generated $268,000 to support the Northern Texas PGA Foundation's initiatives aimed at growing the game across North Texas.
The event featured 21 teams, each made up of one PGA of America Golf Professional, one current Ewing Automotive Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour member and three amateur golfers.
Hanna Dickens, a coach at Ronny Golf Park, teamed with junior golfer Grace Gronin and amateurs Doug Brooks, Lewis Brooks and Kyle Brooks to capture the team championship. The group finished at 17-under-par 125 and won the title in a tiebreaker.
In addition to the team competition, every junior golfer in the field was entered into a drawing for a $5,000 college scholarship. Ella DeWitt of Dallas, a rising junior at Ursuline Academy, was selected as this year's scholarship recipient.
The scholarship was part of the Northern Texas PGA Foundation's broader commitment to supporting education through golf. This year, the foundation awarded 90 college scholarships totaling $947,500 to junior golfers throughout North Texas.
