See the full story · 1 sourcesWe've just seen the Commonwealth Games record for men's 88kg snatch broken five times in about 10 minutes. First Kiwi Cameron McTaggart lifted 154 kilograms, but that was before Braydon Kennedy or Hafizuddin Bin Roslin Muhammad had even started. Canada's Kennedy went 155kg with his first attempt, McTaggart then missed at 157kg with his final snatch. Then Muhammad entered the chat. Neither he nor Kennedy could get 160kg up on their first attempts at the weight, but Malaysian Muhammad managed on his second. Then Kennedy threw up 161kg, so Muhammad added another kilo for the newest and final record of 162kg. Australian Ryven Ewing sits sixth with 136kg heading into the clean and jerk.
