The junior wide receiver was dismissed from the Kentucky football team just weeks before the start of the 2026 season, according to a report Thursday from Kentucky Sports Radio's Jeff Drummond, who cited a violation of team rules.
Once considered one of Palm Beach County's top football prospects, Gilmore's career has included multiple high school and college stops since emerging as a standout in the Glades.
Gilmore signed with Kentucky in the Class of 2024 and played in five games as a true freshman with the Wildcats.
He transferred to Nebraska after the season but was dismissed from the team in the spring. He transferred back to Kentucky for the 2025 season, making 28 catches for 313 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore.
Gilmore re-entered the transfer portal after the season and committed to Louisville and Baylor before ultimately returning to Kentucky for his junior offseason.
At Pahokee, Gilmore was a four-star wide receiver prospect and All-County selection. He forewent one season of varsity football after reclassifying to the Class of 2024.
Gilmore's high school career also included several transfers.
He played varsity football at Glades Day as an eighth grader before transferring to the Benjamin School, where he caught seven touchdown passes as a freshman.
Gilmore announced he was transferring to IMG Academy after the season but ultimately landed at Pahokee for his sophomore season. He caught 43 passes for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns.
After reclassifying, Gilmore was selected to The Post's Super 11 preseason team. He caught a career-best 52 passes for 879 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final varsity season.
