NBA 2K27 Reveals Highest-Rated 76ers Player After Offseason Moves

The NBA 2K27 video game is revealing player ratings and recently showed the ratings for all four All-Star players on the new-look Philadelphia 76ers .
This offseason, the 76ers acquired 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown via trade with the Boston Celtics. They also signed free agent LeBron James , adding the NBA legend to their starting lineup.
Philadelphia already had former NBA MVP Joel Embiid, All-Star Tyrese Maxey, and emerging young star VJ Edgecombe. Many believed that Maxey was the top star of the starters there, and based on NBA 2K27 ratings, that may be the case.
James, Embiid, and Brown each received 91 for the upcoming video game. Maxey received a 92 for his rating, making him the highest-rated 76ers player in the starting lineup.

It's not surprising that James isn't the highest-rated 76ers player. Despite him being one of the all-time greats in basketball, he wasn't the top star on his last team, the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron was among NBA 2K26's top 10 players with a 94 rating, while teammate Luka Doncic had a 95 rating.
It might be surprising that Brown wasn't rated at least as high as Maxey after his previous season's work with the Boston Celtics. Brown helped make the team a playoff contender during former teammate Jayson Tatum's injury recovery and was mentioned as a contender for NBA MVP during the season.
Last season, Maxey averaged 28.3 points, 6.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game. He also averaged 38 minutes per game and played in 70 of his team's regular-season games.
Maxey was also big in the postseason, especially in Philadelphia's first-round win over the Celtics, where he scored 30 or more points in three games. All of that, plus his potential as a significant playmaker in next season's starting lineup, may have factored into his slightly higher NBA 2K27 rating.
One thing that will definitely be interesting to see is how this collection of four All-Star players in one starting lineup affects everyone's stats. Will Maxey remain the team's leading scorer, or will someone else take that spot based on how this superteam operates?
