The WNBA All-Star Game has now wrapped up in Chicago, and the Atlanta Dream’s Angel Reese ended the game scoreless despite being a double-double machine regularly. A’ja Wilson may be the one to blame here, as she blocked Reese as she was trying to put away a shot, as that play should have placed the power forward on the board.
During the postgame press conference, A’ja Wilson admitted that she usually does not block during the All-Star Game and apologized to the Dream power forward.
“I was trying to get out of the way. I do not like to block shots during all star games. I’ve never had that happen to me, and I’m so sorry,” A’ja Wilson said.
During the All-Star Game, A’ja Wilson had 12 points, three rebounds, one assist, and, of course, that one block on Angel Reese. She was part of Team Coop, which lost the game to Team Spoon 129-122. New York Liberty center Jonquel Jones from Team Spoon won the All-Star Game MVP, almost getting a triple-double with 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.

During the All-Star Game in Chicago, A’ja Wilson did not come alone. As she made her eighth All-Star Game appearance, her boyfriend, Miami Heat forward and NBA All-Star Bam Adebayo, was on the sidelines once again cheering for her. His support continued into the postgame press conference, where he was spotted taking videos.
Adebayo was also seen snapping pictures of his girlfriend, with the WNBA saying he was a “photographer” during the event.
The two are considered one of basketball’s biggest power couples. Rumors of them dating started around the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where each of them represented the US, until they finally came out as a couple in February 2025.
