Arizona State has the most difficult schedule in the Big 12, but is there a game that looks more difficult than one would think?
This looks like a trap game because it is right smack dab in between two huge games for the Sun Devils.
It is the week after ASU faces defending Big 12 champion Texas Tech in Lubbock and right before it hits the road again for a difficult game at BYU.
ASU defeated the Wildcats 24-14 the last time they met, during the 2024 season in Manhattan, Kansas. That game wasn't as close as the score indicates.
Kansas State has a new head coach in Collin Klein, a former player at the school. It also has veteran quarterback Avery Johnson, who has been wildly inconsistent but is in his fourth year as the starter. ASU coach Kenny Dillingham knows him well because he previously recruited Johnson.
This will be the seventh game of the season for both schools.
