Grad (16-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) largely had his way with Buzukja (12-7 MMA, 1-5 UFC) due to a stronger grappling game in the featherweight bout at Belgrade Arena. He got into top position in the second round and secured an arm-triangle choke that forced referee Jason Herzog to jump in and halt the action.
Buzukja immediately jumped up and claimed he never tapped out, but replay confirmed a tapping motion, and Grad stood as the winner at the 4:43 mark of Round 2.

— UFC on Paramount+ (@UFConParamount) August 1, 2026 After the fight, Grad weighed in on the controversy and said Buzukja has the right to appeal. However, for now, he is celebrating his second octagon win.
"I think he can claim official – there is an email for that (to file an appeal)," Grad told Michael Bisping during their post-fight interview. "I didn't feel it, but the ref was there. And the refs and everything are pros here, so I trust them."
