The Seahawks selected Clark with the No. 64 overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft. The idea is for the former TCU standout to eventually be a starter, either as a rookie, or more likely, as a sophomore in 2027.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald has been impressed with Clark's efforts at training camp thus far .
" His [Bud Clark] best practice was probably the last practice ," Macdonald recently told reporters. " We'll see what it looks like [moving forward]. [He practices with] terrific spirit and he's executing well, communicating well. He's put a lot of work in ."

— MazvitaMaraire (@MazvitaMaraire) July 30, 2026 The Seahawks lost starting safety Coby Bryant to free agency. Veteran Ty Okada is currently primed to replace Bryant, but Clark is competing for reps. Furthermore, Julian Love could be entering his final season with the Seahawks, unless he's willing to restructure his bloated contract next offseason. Clark will eventually fill a need somewhere.
A six-year contributor at TCU, Clark brings experience and playmaking ability. He notched an impressive 15 interceptions and 20 pass breakups in college. Clark is currently trending in the right direction at Seahawks training camp.
