According to a report from Bild’s Julian Agardi (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ), Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala will not play against VfB Stuttgart on Friday in the Bundesliga’s opening match.
Musiala has been dealing with an ailment described as neurological absences in some reports and seizures in others (we are noting the usage of both terms as there has not been an official statement from the club). Just last week, it was thought that the attacking midfielder would be ready to play on Friday after adjusting his medication, but the situation took another turn with this report:
Jamal Musiala will not be included in the squad against Stuttgart on Friday. A decision has been made. A possible comeback date is on 5 September against Schalke 04.
Musiala’s health is at the forefront for Bayern Munich, so holding him out is not wholly shocking. The situation is more complex than dealing with a normal break, tear, or sprain and could be one that requires consistent monitoring until it settles.
Based on recent news, most experts do expect things to eventually get back to normal for Musiala, but it is unclear how long that might take. There was a prevailing thought, that he could be ready to face VfB Stuttgart, but that does not appear to be the case if this report is true.
