Just in: £60m Premier League ace thinks he’s a ‘strong fit’ at MUFC, it’s giving INEOS ‘confidence’ over a deal
Lewis Hall is reportedly giving Manchester United all the right signs behind the scenes that he wants to join.
While a deal this summer is now as good as ruled out, the Red Devils are likely to wait and go all-out in their pursuit this time next year, as they did with Carlos Baleba.
Lewis Hall: What’s the latest?
Weighing in on the Newcastle United star’s situation today, Ben Jacobs told The United Stand: “The signs from the [Lewis] Hall camp are that he sees a very strong fit at Manchester United.
“This is where Manchester United have got confidence, as they did with Carlos Baleba 12 months ago, that if they can’t move now, if they do choose to move in a year’s time, and even if Hall signs a new deal first, the player has that buy-in.”
It was reported last week that the Magpies had opened talks with Hall in hopes of tying him down to a new and improved deal , while also deterring any external interest.
Even if he does agree to new terms, it doesn’t guarantee that he sees out his contract; Sandro Tonali signed an extension back in January to run until 2029 at St. James’ Park, and completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur six months later.
Prior to their respective exits, Newcastle had maintained that Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes were off-limits, until both players pushed for moves and eventually had their wishes granted.
