Memorial Stadium might have a spookier feeling than usual during Nebraska's Oct. 31 home game against Washington . The Cornhuskers are set to wear an alternate all-black uniform to commemorate the second-annual 'Blackout' game.
Certain lettering and part of the team's helmet will be red to contrast with the black-themed uniforms.
"The metallic red finishes evoke the brilliance of the stadium's nighttime entertainment, calling to mind images of synchronized light shows, as well as the fire tower flames in the end zone and red fireworks shining above the North Stadium scoreboard," the school's release states.
The kickoff time will be announced later, but fans are likely hoping for a primetime kickoff to watch the Cornhuskers under the lights in these alternate threads.

Nebraska's first Blackout game didn't end the way Cornhuskers fans would've hoped, as the team fell 21-17 at home against USC last Nov. 1.
