Manchester United have registered concrete interest in Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, 21, with Belgian journalist Tomas Taecke reporting for HLN that the Red Devils hold concrete interest in the Germany U21 forward, with that interest only increasing.
According to Taecke, AS Roma are also in the picture and have already had a €35m bid knocked back by Club Brugge, who have made clear the striker is not for sale this summer. That rejection has done little to cool United’s interest – if anything, it establishes the floor for any serious conversation.

Tresoldi’s Case for Old Trafford
Tresoldi joined Brugge from Hannover 96 last summer and made an immediate impact in the Belgian Pro League, scoring 23 goals and contributing seven assists across 58 appearances in his debut campaign.
A product of the Hannover 96 academy, he made 80 first-team appearances for the German second-division club before moving to Belgium, scoring 14 goals.
United’s Striker Context
United’s summer business has been focused on midfield and goalkeeping – Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Karl Darlow are among the new faces signed for the upcoming season – but the forward line has its own question marks. Joshua Zirkzee is expected to return to Italy, with Juventus reported to be big admirers of the Dutchman.
United already transformed their attack a year ago, bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko – all of whom reached double figures. The thinking around Tresoldi, per the HLN report, is that he could develop alongside Sesko rather than compete directly with him, future-proofing the forward line without disrupting the Slovenian’s trajectory.

Dusan Vlahovic has also been mentioned in connection with United this window, reflecting the club’s broader awareness that a more established centre-forward may be needed. Tresoldi, however, represents a younger, higher-upside option at presumably a lower cost – provided Brugge can be shifted from their current position.
Brugge’s Stance the Key Obstacle
Club Brugge have been unequivocal: Tresoldi is not for sale. They rebuffed Roma’s €35m approach and Taecke notes that if United were to go all out for Tresoldi, Brugge’s resolve would face a genuine test. The Red Devils are said to be following the 21-year-old’s situation very closely, believing he can make an instant impact at Old Trafford and develop into a regular goalscorer in future years.
