The Cleveland Browns will make their preseason debut today on the road against a Chicago Bears team that comes into 2026 with a chip on their shoulders. After a decent playoff run, the Bears are looking to build on that, and they look to make the Browns a stepping stone to do so.
Meanwhile, the Browns and their new coaching staff are looking to make a good first impression, and no better way to do that than to look against a Super Bowl contender. While it is the preseason, this is a Browns team that needs to show some basic improvements. All eyes will be on their penalties and discipline, their offensive line, and what their defense looks like in terms of leadership in the absence of Myles Garrett from the field and sideline.
There is a lot to look for in a preseason debut, which is rare, but the Browns seem to have a way with keeping everyone's attention, for better or worse.
