San Jose police arrested three suspects and recovered three firearms—including a stolen gun and a privately made weapon—during a series of separate vehicle stops over a two-day span.
The first incident occurred Friday at approximately 1:17 a.m. Central Division patrol officers stopped a reported stolen vehicle with three occupants inside. According to police, the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence and was found in possession of both a firearm and narcotics.
The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for multiple crimes, including firearm and narcotics-related offenses.
The following day, at approximately 1:13 a.m., Central Division officers conducted another vehicle enforcement stop. During the investigation, police located a loaded firearm that was confirmed to be stolen. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
Later that evening, at approximately 6 p.m., officers with the San Jose Police Department’s Special Operations Division conducted a third vehicle stop. Officers observed multiple open containers of alcohol inside the car, prompting a probable cause search.
During the search, police found a privately made firearm on one of the passengers. That suspect was also booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for various firearm-related crimes.
