See the full story · 2 sourcesThe Georgia Bulldogs basketball team released its SEC schedule for the 2026-27 season. The Bulldogs play all 18 SEC teams between Jan. 2 and March 6.
The Bulldogs play Ole Miss (Jan. 2), Auburn (Jan. 9), Arkansas (Jan. 19 or 20), Tennessee (Feb. 2 or 3), South Carolina (Feb. 6), Texas A&M (Feb. 13), Florida (Feb. 20), Oklahoma (Feb. 23 or 24), and Alabama (Mar. 2 or 3) on the road. Their home games will be between Texas (Jan. 5 or 6), Oklahoma (Jan. 12 or 13), Mississippi State (Jan. 16), Florida (Jan. 23), LSU (Jan. 30), Vanderbilt (Feb. 9 or 10), Kentucky (Feb. 16 or 17), Missouri (Feb. 27), and South Carolina (March 6).
The Bulldogs went 10-8 against the SEC last season after going 12-1 against non-conference opponents. They had some ranked wins against Alabama and Arkansas, but they finished with the No. 7 seed in the SEC Tournament.
The No. 15-seeded Ole Miss Rebels upset them in the SEC Tournament, but the Bulldogs were still good enough to participate in March Madness. Unfortunately, their March Madness appearance was also short-lived, as they were dispatched against the Saint Louis Billikens 102-77 .
Georgia is looking to make their third consecutive March Madness appearance in a loaded SEC. There were 10 SEC teams in last season's NCAA Tournament and 14 the season prior. With Georgia losing top-scorer Jeremiah Wilkinson to Arkansas and defensive anchor Somto Cyril to Miami, there's hope that the rest of the core steps up and at least wins a tournament game.
