"Yeah, he looked pretty good," said Reid. "Yeah, he stayed in shape. He did a lot of dancing at his wedding."
Kelce is entering his 14th NFL season, all with Reid as his head coach in Kansas City, after a busy off-season that included uncertainty about retirement and his high-profile wedding. The longest-tenured NFL coach revealed the impact of Kelce's influence on the locker room and his commitment to excellence on the football field.
"He's a good leader. Yeah, tremendously," said Reid. "He's a great leader, and he works so hard, and he wants to be in there. For a young guy to look at that, and then it's hard for them to make an excuse to take a rep off because he's out there going. If they try to get sneaky, he yanks them back in there and makes them go (again). That's always good to have."
Kelce finished the 2025 season with 78 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns. He earned his 11th Pro Bowl selection, proving he's still a premier player at his position. He is tied with Jason Witten for the second-most Pro Bowl selections among tight ends all-time, trailing only Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez.
