The Buffalo Bills and NFL community are reeling after the tragic loss of Ed Oliver’s son this week. The story’s become even greater due to a reporter’s distasteful posts, and that’s even upset Josh Allen .
Social media engagement farmer Tony Farmer posted a series of threads on Twitter Friday regarding Oliver’s family tragedy. That led to Farmer calling out NFL media for not telling the public the news sooner while the Bills star and his family grieves.
However, the Buffalo quarterback is one of many upset with Farmer’s handling of the delicate situation . The 2024 NFL MVP ripped the reporter for his actions following the Bills’ Week 2 preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
“It’s very sad in how it came out. It makes me very sad and angry at the same time,” Allen said with disbelief Saturday .
Oliver’s two-year-old son tragically drowned in the family’s Texas pool back in late-June. The terrible incident has since rallied the Buffalo community around the former first-round pick and his family.

However, Farmer’s actions clearly went against that and instead put the NFL veteran into the spotlight during a tragic time.
Allen and his Buffalo teammates have clearly been giving Oliver plenty of love and support during the heartbreaking incident.
“There’s nothing that you can say,” Allen told the Buffalo media Saturday. “There’s nothing that you can do. You have to let someone in a situation like that feel what they feel and do what they need to do.
“As his teammates, that’s what we’ve been doing is giving him his space and time, but at the same time being around him, loving up on him, but not trying to do anything to reopen that.”
The Big Lead team extends its most sincere condolences to the Oliver family at this time.
