If you’re in the market for some of today’s new Apple gear, you can choose to pre-order from Amazon or Apple.
You get a primer on what’s new with the latest Mac Studio and Mac mini updates in our dedicated coverage below. There are new chips (M6 and M5 Ultra) with faster performance, new configuration options, plenty of new AI optimizations, and more.
Following this morning’s announcement, Amazon has just started taking orders for Apple’s new Mac mini, as well as new accessories.
Apple made some small changes to the Magic Keyboard today as well, and the new model is now available on Amazon:
If you’d rather buy directly from Apple, I don’t blame you. It’s often easiest and safest to secure launch day delivery by buying from Apple rather than a third party like Amazon. You can also build custom configurations that Amazon doesn’t sell. Amazon also isn’t selling the Mac Studio at all.
Another perk is that Apple offers more ways to pay, including leasing with Apple Upgrade and financing with Apple Card.
Apple also makes it super easy to trade in your current Mac (or any Apple product) and get credit towards your new purchase. As Justin over at 9to5Toys highlighted this morning, that’s a great way to save $500+ on a new M6 Mac mini.
