The Seattle Seahawks held their fourth training camp practice on Tuesday. Unlike Monday’s session, which was limited to credentialed media only, this was another public practice in front of a full house at Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton. They’re still not in pads yet, but come Thursday things will really start to ramp up in terms of intensity and what’s allowed in camp.

Seahawks training camp news and notes
A big day for Jalen Milroe
Maybe the Seahawks will post some highlights, but otherwise Seattle is restrictive as far as training camp video. It’s been a purportedly tough start to camp for Milroe, but the splash plays came in bunches for the former Alabama quarterback. I’ll just let some friends of Field Gulls and Tacoma News Tribune’s Gregg Ball do the talking.

The only bad news for Milroe was getting pick 6’d on a tip ball that landed in rookie safety Bud Clark’s hands, but is it bad news if the recipient is a ball-hawking rookie safety? And apparently Clark did the Marshawn Lynch backsplash/crotch grab touchdown celebration for good measure.
Rylie Mills, healthy and whole
The former Notre Dame defensive end missed most of his rookie season after tearing his ACL during the College Football Playoff. He came back in time for spot duties late in the regular season, then sacked Drake Maye in the Super Bowl. With a full offseason in Mike Macdonald’s system, Mills is poised for a lot more involvement on defense. Now… what if we got to see him be a special teams gunner?

Rookie cornerback Julian Neal among those not practicing
It’s time to worry when it’s time to worry, but it’s worth keeping an eye out on a few non-participants over the next few days. Julian Neal left Monday’s practice early, as did Jake Bobo, and both were held out of Tuesday’s session.
“We had a couple guys today that we took in,” Mike Macdonald said on Monday. “Didn’t seem like anything major, but we’re going to get him checked out. See what we need to do.”
Some notes from Seahawks practice today… DNPs: Julian Neal, Jamie Sheriff, Josh Jones, Jake Bobo, Jarran Reed. Jalen Milroe has had some rough days, but this wasn't one of them. Maybe his best practice I've seen with Seattle. A few really nice throws.

Neal had been practicing with the second-team defense. Noah Igbinoghene and Nehemiah Pritchett got some extra work in his absence.
Special teamer Irv Charles also did not practice after picking up a knock earlier in the week.
Leonard Williams reveals what’s different about Brian Fleury’s offense
With Klint Kubiak coaching the Las Vegas Raiders, the Seahawks are once again learning a new offense. Unlike Ryan Grubb to Kubiak, the transition from Kubiak to new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury should be smoother. Fleury is expected to run a lot of Kubiak’s offense but add his own flavoring, which based on Leonard Williams’ observations, should feature more motion.
“Yeah, there’s a lot more motion,” Williams said. “Fullback motion, tight end motions. Sometimes the tight end is in a fullback position and vice versa. It’s definitely keeping our defense on our toes, and they’re switching it up a lot. Sometimes they’ll motion two tight ends to one side, and they’ll run the ball that way. Sometimes they’ll motion two to one side and run the ball the opposite way. So, you can’t really guess, you’ve got to really just read your keys.”
Highlight of the Day: Jadarian Price continues to get work in the passing game
First-round draft pick Jadarian Price doesn’t have much history as a receiving back. He had just 15 career grabs at Notre Dame, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to be a threat in the pros. On Monday, he beat Ernest Jones on a wheel route for a touchdown. Same route, different player (Maxen Hook), same result.

Ernest Jones said this of Price after Monday’s practice: “He’s good. He’s good, man. Mature for his age. You don’t get too many words out of him, but he’s working. He got me today. He had a hell of a route on me today. He’s good. I think he’s going to help us. He’s doing everything right and he’s got a great group of backs in front of him that are kind of teaching him the way.”
Wednesday is a day off for the players before returning to the practice field on Thursday.
