ATLANTA –– Roki Sasaki’s second-half resurgence hit a sudden speed bump Wednesday night.
In the fourth inning of the Dodgers’ game against the Braves at Truist Park, Sasaki made an early exit from his start after a meeting on the mound with manager Dave Roberts, pitching coach Mark Prior and head athletic trainer Thomas Albert.

It wasn’t immediately clear what forced Sasaki from the game, but Sasaki appeared to have a right middle finger blister.
No further information on his status was immediately available.
Prior to his departure, Sasaki had allowed two runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings and was laboring slightly more than usual compared to his previous post-All-Star-break form.

Entering Wednesday, the right-hander had a 2.31 ERA over six starts in that span, finally tapping into the potential the Dodgers saw in him when he signed out of Japan last year.
