Tuesday night’s game between the Indiana Fever and the Toronto Tempo at a sold-out Scotiabank Arena set a record crowd for the WNBA’s Canadian expansion team. Ultimately, the Fever defeated the Tempo and star shooting guard Marina Mabrey 101- 95, despite her scoring 22 points and making five three-pointers. After the Game, Caitlin Clark had all good things to say about the Tempo and Mabrey.
“Marina’s having the best year of her career and I think everybody across the league knows like how talented and how gifted she is,” Clark said in a post-game interview.

Lately, a lot of the discourse surrounding Clark has been focused on her refusal to address hot-button issues. After Tuesday’s game, she maintained her stance and kept the focus on the WNBA’s actual product.
“I think they just consistently battle. I believe they are on a 10-game losing streak, but if you look at all those games, there are moments they were in every single one of those. They’re fighting, they’re competing…But that’s kinda what you expect from an expansion team, a team that’s just really gritty; they are never gonna give up, they are never gonna hang their head, and that’s certainly how they play,” Clark said.
Clark continues to impress, whether it be internationally or at home in Indianapolis’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse. In her third year in the league, she’s made it clear that she’s not concerned with what outside agitators have to say and is keeping the focus on the high-level basketball being played night in and night out.
