See the full story · 1 sourcesTristan Wirfs continues to earn recognition as one of the NFL's premier offensive linemen.
The NFL announced on its official X account that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ' left tackle has been voted No. 52 in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026, a list determined by votes from players around the league. Wirfs is the latest Buccaneer to appear in this year's countdown, joining quarterback Baker Mayfield, who previously landed at No. 77.
The ranking comes after another outstanding season protecting Mayfield's blind side. According to PFF, Wirfs posted an elite 92.7 overall grade in 2025, including a 91.6 pass-blocking grade and an 84.9 run-blocking grade. He allowed just two sacks, four quarterback hits, and 17 total pressures across 474 pass-blocking snaps while finishing with a 97.2 pass-blocking efficiency rating.

— NFL (@NFL) July 24, 2026 Week after week, Wirfs delivered the type of consistency that has made him one of the NFL's best tackles. His best performance came against Atlanta, where he earned a remarkable 97.0 overall grade, a 98.0 run-blocking grade, and did not allow a single pressure. He also posted overall grades above 90 against Arizona and Carolina while surrendering just one pressure in each contest.
Durability also remained one of Wirfs' biggest strengths. After returning from injury early in the season, he played every offensive snap in 11 of his final 12 games, continuing to anchor an offensive line that remains one of the Buccaneers' biggest strengths entering 2026. He even caught a touchdown pass while playing in a tight end eligible role on the goal line in week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals.
The NFL Top 100 is voted on by players, making it one of the league's most respected offseason honors. Wirfs' placement at No. 52 reflects the respect he has earned from opponents who line up across from him every Sunday.
As Tampa Bay looks to return to the postseason, the Buccaneers will once again rely on one of football's premier left tackles to lead the way up front.
