Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis may have lost his starting job in Nashville, but he believes he still has a future as an NFL starter. Levis told reporters at Titans training camp on Saturday, Aug. 1 that he's confident he's a top-32 quarterback in the NFL in 2026.
"I have more confidence than I’ve ever had," Levis said . "I know I've put the tape out there already that I'm a dang good quarterback in this league, and I'm even better than I ever have been."
Asked if he has faith in his future as a starter, Levis said, "100%. 100%. There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me. I know that for sure."

Levis, 27, was a second-round pick by the Titans in 2023 and started 21 games for the team across the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He struggled in the starting role as he consistently failed to protect the football. Levis threw 16 interceptions in his first two seasons in addition to 17 fumbles and 69 sacks taken for 418 lost yards.
There were some flashes of potential from Levis, as the Kentucky product made 31 big-time throws in 2023 and 2024, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). But he made just as many turnover-worthy plays. The young gunslinger also occasionally showed off his dual-threat capabilities with 240 rushing yards and a touchdown on 70 attempts. In total, Levis led the Titans to a 5-16 record in his 21 starts.
In 2025, Tennessee selected quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick, and Levis missed the entire season after undergoing surgery on his throwing shoulder. Ward started all 17 games for the Titans, compiling a 3-14 record, while also leading the NFL with 55 sacks taken for 410 lost yards. The rookie threw 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2025 – two more touchdowns and five fewer interceptions than Levis had in five fewer games in 2024.
In the offseason, the Titans signed veterans Mitchell Trubisky and Hendon Hooker in free agency to compete with Levis for the backup job. Levis' spot on Tennessee's 2026 roster is not guaranteed, but he may be able to find an opportunity elsewhere should he end up on the wrong side of roster cuts.
