Barcelona boss Hansi Flick spoke on Saturday about the imminent departures of midfielder Marc Casadó and Roony Bardghji, who were left out of the squad that played in the triangular tournament in Italy to resolve their futures.
Casadó is in talks for a move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, while Roony has plenty of interest around Europe with Ajax and Brighton & Hove Albion linked with the player in recent days.
Flick was asked about the duo and admitted it wasn’t easy to speak to them about leaving the club, but the coach thinks a move away is in the best interest of both.
“The situation with Casadó and Roony isn’t easy for me, but decisions have to be made. I spoke with them at the end of last season and also in England, I explained the situation and gave them my advice.”
Barça want to retain control of the futures of both players and will likely include clauses that facilitate their return, but Casadó and Roony know they have to leave if they want to play regular minutes this season.
