See the full story · 1 sourcesThe long wait is over, and training camp has finally arrived for the Pittsburgh Steelers . But so has a slew of injuries, specifically impacting the team's secondary.
On Tuesday, the Steelers reported for training camp, with three members of the secondary being placed on the physically unable to perform list with injuries: cornerbacks Joey Porter Jr. , Jalen Ramsey, and Donte Kent.
Porter, who's looking for a huge contract extension, aggravated a back injury and was subsequently placed on the PUP list.
Ramsey suffered a knee injury at minicamp and is expected to miss practice time for the next few weeks.
Kent's placement on the PUP list has more to do with previous injuries he suffered during his rookie season, such as his torn ACL in 2025.
Pittsburgh's completely reworked secondary appears to be falling apart before it could really get going. But one former fan-favorite Steelers cornerback recently became available following his release from the New Orleans Saints and would make for an excellent depth piece.
