Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight prospect Mansur Abdul-Malik returns to action against Dustin Stoltzfus on the UFC 330 main card this weekend (Sat., Aug. 15, 2026) inside Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Abdul-Malik is coming off the first loss of his professional career, suffering a third-round stoppage against Yousri Belgaroui in a brutal fight at UFC Seattle ( watch highlights ).
When fighters lose their undefeated records, many admit to feeling relieved that the pressure of protecting the “0” is finally gone. Others respond by completely overhauling their training and lifestyle .
Not Abdul-Malik.
The 28-year-old Las Vegas-based fighter initially felt the urge to change everything after the loss. However, once he took an honest look at his life, he realized there was not much away from the cage that needed fixing.
“Maybe early on after the fight happened, of course, the mental perspective makes you want to change everything—change your lifestyle, change your habits,” Abdul-Malik told reporters during UFC 330 media day. “But then I look at my lifestyle and habits, and I’m like, ‘What is there really to change?’ I don’t party, I don’t drink, I don’t go out and I don’t have many friends, so it’s like, what is there to change?
“The thing to change was to be myself,” Abdul-Malik continued. “I was going out there trying to be way too perfect, and there are a lot of flaws in trying to be perfect.”
Instead of reinventing himself following his first defeat, Abdul-Malik wants to rediscover the aggressive, playful fighter who helped him emerge as one of the division’s most intriguing prospects.
“My intention is to go out there and be me and fight like me,” Abdul-Malik said. “To be aggressive, to be playful and have a smile on my face—I felt like I was way too serious, if anything. But all those things are secondary. I lost to a fighter who was better than me. Period. Point blank.”
“Now, I have an opportunity to just perform, man,” he concluded. “Perform, be myself, have fun and engage.”
Armed with that rock-solid mentality, Abdul-Malik will look to stop Stoltzfus, who has trained at Xtreme Couture several times over the past few years and should be familiar with his opponent’s surroundings.
Abdul-Malik is currently 3-1-1 inside the Octagon with three finishes . He also owns a 100 percent career finishing rate, with all seven of his professional wins coming by knockout.
Now, the once-unbeaten prospect gets his first opportunity to show how he responds to adversity
