See the full story · 6 sourcesLANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – This year’s Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame inductee’s for the class of 2026, had their hall of fame plaques unveiled at Jackson Field in Lansing, MI on Friday.
Bob Welch, Bob Sullivan, Connie Wisniewski and Terry Collins were the four inductee’s, with Collins being the only living inductee.
Welch was the 20th pick int he MLB 1977 Draft and was a three-time World Series Champion. He won championships with both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the then Oakland A’s. He also added a championship as a coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Sullivan was critical in establishing little league baseball in West Michigan with over 200 of his players making it to the pro level.
Wisniewski is considered by many to be the greatest woman baseball player of all time, earning the nickname the “Iron Woman” during her playing days.
Collins is currently a special assistant with the New York Mets. An organization he was the manager of from 2011-2017. In that time span, Collins led the Mets to the 2015 World Series.
