The New Orleans Saints used their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Jordyn Tyson, pairing him with Chris Olave to give quarterback Tyler Shough two dynamic receiving weapons. But it's sixth-round pick Barion Brown who's actually turned the most heads at camp.
Days after head coach Kellen Moore praised him , Brown delivered a highlight-reel moment of his own Thursday, hauling in a 46-yard touchdown from quarterback Spencer Rattler to close out the two-minute drill.
Brown started training camp on the second team, but he's since earned increased first-team snaps — a sign he could be playing his way into a real role for the Saints in 2026.

In 2023, Brown earned first-team All-American and second-team All-SEC honors at Kentucky, racking up 539 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 43 catches, plus 576 kickoff return yards and three return touchdowns. The following year, he claimed first-team All-SEC honors again before transferring to LSU for his senior season, where he posted 532 receiving yards and a touchdown on 53 catches, along with 445 kickoff return yards and another return score.
Across four college seasons — three at Kentucky, one at LSU — Brown totaled 2,060 receiving yards, 12 receiving touchdowns, 1,910 kickoff return yards, and six return touchdowns. His explosiveness made him a player to watch on special teams the moment New Orleans drafted him, but he's quickly carving out a much bigger role on the offense.

Moore praised the connection between Rattler and Brown after practice. "Barion did a great job adjusting to that ball, tracking it. Those are deep balls, and the ball usually tails one way or another because the QB is running, so awesome job making a play," Moore said.
There's still plenty of time between now and Week 1, but Brown appears to have a real opportunity to climb into that No. 3 receiver spot, with Devaughn Vele and fourth-round rookie Bryce Lance as his main competition for targets.
