The Boston Red Sox have continued to impress folks across Major League Baseball.
The new MLB.com power rankings are the latest proof of that, as the Red Sox took a big surge up the board from the last ranks.
These were the first power rankings released by MLB.com since the All-Star Break, which means they're the first ones to fully account for Boston's 15-game win streak.
They also came out Monday, after the Red Sox traded for Curtis Mead, so they have that involved, too.
And so, the Red Sox are the No. 7 team in MLB according to these new power rankings.

They had previously ranked 15th in the most recent iteration of the rankings.
"As if there were any doubt, the Curtis Mead trade is proof the win streak that got the Red Sox back in the playoff hunt is being taken seriously by the front office," MLB.com writes in the power rankings blurb for Boston. "They saw they needed some offense right now, and they traded away a legit pitching prospect to make sure they got it. But if Mead really has turned a corner, he’ll help for many years beyond just this one."
These are the six teams ranked ahead of Boston:
6 - Chicago Cubs
5 - New York Yankees
4 - Tampa Bay Rays
3 - Atlanta Braves
2 - Milwaukee Brewers
1 - Los Angeles Dodgers
Unlike recent power rankings from Bleacher Report, this list didn't push the Red Sox ahead of either of their division rivals, the Yankees or the Rays.
They're all right there bunched together, though, which suggests the last couple months of the regular season should be quite compelling in the AL East.
Regardless of their exact spot, it's been quite the month or so for Boston, which went from totally out of the picture to in the heart of the race. Red Sox fans are certainly enjoying it.
