See the full story · 2 sourcesReal Madrid and Manchester City have kicked off their negotiations over the transfer of midfielder Rodri Hernández, who is expected to become a madridista before the end of the transfer window. That’s according to a report from Fabrizio Romano, who also indicates that Real Madrid are willing to spend over €50 million to secure this signing.
After being initially ruled out, Rodri became a target for Real Madrid due to his excellent performances during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His current deal with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2027, so Los Blancos have some leverage in these negotiations and an agreement is widely expected to be reached around €60 million.
The Spanish midfielder wants to join Real Madrid and reaching an agreement with him will only be a matter of time. Rodri will almost certainly be a madridista this summer.
