Coming off an entertaining World Cup summer that captured the attention of the sports world, a member of the Golden State Warriors found himself back on the pitch on Saturday. De'Anthony Melton was in the building at PayPal Park on Saturday in San Jose to take in the San Jose Quakes' game against St. Louis City FC.
Before the match, Melton sounded the siren to get fans at PayPal Park fired up. Melton also swapped jerseys with Quakes and USA national team defender DeJuan Jones.

In just the eighth minute, Daniel Edelman opened the scoring with a goal to take a 1-0 lead for the away team. Simon Becher added another goal for St. Louis City SC in the 27th minute to take a dominant 2-0 lead. Just out of halftime, Beau Leroux knocked in a goal for San Jose to cut into the St. Louis lead. However, Becher completed his brace with a dagger goal in the 55th minute. St. Louis hung on to win over San Jose, 3-1.
