What a win, huh? It felt good to demolish an opponent again. Dustin did a terrific job with the post-match takeaways but I want to do a quick hit of fitzie’s own:
A Ben Davies goal! Who cares if it was off a deflection? The man’s put in 13 years at the club and deserves all the positives. Plus, he captained the side until Micky van de Ven came on in the second half.
What a debut for Savio! I hope the picture of him holding up the Tottenham flag will remain stored in the Spurs library.
Charlton have pretty neat kits. Let’s not lose sight of that:

It’s not Spurple, but it is Spurple adjacent. And I think we can all get behind that. This is actually their third kit, which is what you’d get if you turn a wild berry poptart into a football shirt.
I think Charlton’s crest typically looks a bit clunky, so I love the standalone sword here. It’s a wonderful kit to wear in the Championship.
And I’m excited for the Spurple kit to make its own debut this season – but the question is, When?
