See the full story · 1 sourcesAug. 4—SIOUX FALLS — The South Dakota VFW Baseball Association has announced the rosters for its annual All-Star games, set for Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls.
The showcase features many of the state's top high school baseball players, with three four-inning games scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
Mount Vernon/Plankinton leads the area contingent with four selections, including Keagan Hill, Tyce Feistner, Tanner Baker and Walker Van Gorp. Gregory placed three players on the all-star rosters with Cash Hemming, Hudson Fuhrer and Aiden Frasch earning invitations.
Wessington Springs will be represented by Teagen Eggleston and Brett Miller, while Kimball/White Lake's Johnny Lenz and Keaton Christensen were also selected.
Clark Area had six players chosen, including Bennett Pommer, Caleb Drenth, Cooper Pommer, Damian Severson, Jakob Steen and Watson Grantham. Selby also landed six selections with Keegan Russell, Kaden Russell, Luke Fiedler, Houston Hauge, Xavier Hobert and Thatcher Kihne.
Other all-stars include Mobridge's Mack Saxon, Andrew Ulmer, Easton Eisemann, Broc Bauer and Trueth Crow Ghost; Britton's Bennett Suther, Colton Chapin, Kaden Mills, Mitchell Burger and Chaz Vietor; Baltic's Jackson Goehring, Issac Oakley, Brechen Fredrick and Cale Roach; Belle Fourche's Urijah Hamilton and Caeyn Howard; Leola/Frederick's Brayden Heuer and Erik Losure; Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern's Mac Heinz and Logan Fischbach; West Central's Hayes Cain and Hayden Whiting; and Tri-County's Noah Hansen and Elijah Anderson.
