The Washington Commanders could still address their offensive tackle depth, particularly at left tackle, with Laremy Tunsil sidelined by a torn triceps. Brandon Coleman is currently the projected replacement for Tunsil. Coleman did okay as Jayden Daniels’s blindside blocker as a rookie but shifted to left guard in his second season before losing the job early in the year and taking over the final three games at left tackle. Andrew Wylie is currently the team’s swing tackle but has very little experience on the left side.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals have signed D.J. Humphries to a one-year deal. It remains unclear whether Humphries will start at left tackle, which would move Brandon Coleman back to left guard. However, the Pro Bowler has not been a full-time starter since 2023, when he started 15 games before suffering an ACL tear in Week 17. At the very least, he would provide the team with much-needed tackle depth.

After initially agreeing to terms with the San Francisco 49ers in April, the deal fell through, and D.J. Humphries instead signed with the Los Angeles Rams in June. Humphries served as the team’s backup left tackle but was also a healthy scratch for most of the year before starting in Week 17. He allowed five pressures, four hurries, zero quarterback hits, and one sack across eight games and 84 offensive snaps, his lowest total since 2015.
