Travis Hunter listed as starter on defense in unofficial depth chart
Jacksonville Jaguars two-way player Travis Hunter was listed as a starter on defense and as a backup on offense in the first unofficial depth chart of the preseason. He's listed alongside Buster Brown and Jourdan Lewis as starting defensive backs on defense. He's behind Brian Thomas Jr. on offense, listed alongside rookie receivers Josh Cameron and CJ Williams as backups to Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers.
Hunter missed nine months as he recovered from a season-ending injury to his right knee, but has hit the field running in training camp as a participant every day so far.
He has split time with offense and defense, making plays on both sides of the ball as he reacclimates to the football field.

"The play [he] made the other day and Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence] scrambled and threw it in the middle. The play was dead," head coach Liam Coen said as he recalled a highlight interception by Hunter from Day 10 of practice. "He was sacked, but Travis just came out of nowhere and makes the play, like I can't coach it."
Per the tracking of the Times-Union , Hunter has spent 60 snaps on offense and 98 on defense in 11-on-11 team periods and the mock game through the first 11 practices. He's following a plan laid out by general manager James Gladstone all the way back at the end of last season when he told reporters Hunter was likely to play more defensive snaps because of the team's roster construction at the time.
Hunter will likely not get team reps in the first preseason game as the Jaguars will rest starters, but it is a sign of how the team is viewing his splits as the preseason begins.
Anton Harrison listed as starting left tackle, Walker Little listed at right tackle
The Jaguars listed former first-round draft pick Anton Harrison as the starting left tackle on the unofficial depth chart. It's a switch the team made in practice and has seemingly stuck, with Harrison set to protect Trevor Lawrence's blindside moving forward.
Walker Little, who limped off the field during Jacksonville's intersquad game and has not been present at practice since, was listed as the starting right tackle. Chuma Edoga was listed behind him, but second-year lineman Wyatt Milum has taken reps at the spot since Little's injury.
Milum was listed behind Patrick Mekari at the right guard spot. Mekari has been limited through camp as he hasn't participated much in team work.
Most of the team's issues at offensive line could be solved with Cole Van Lanen being moved from the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Linebacker battle continues to heat up
The Jaguars are not tipping their hand early in the battle for Devin Lloyd's starting spot. As Lloyd left in free agency, the thought was that Ventrell Miller would automatically get the role of being a starter.
However, second-year linebacker Branson Combs has entered himself into the equation and has looked good to start training camp. The team opted to go with "OR" at the starting position next to veteran Foye Oluokun, listing Miller and Combs as starters to begin the preseason.
It'll be something to watch as training camp continues with both players making plays already in the opening weeks. Miller had a punchout fumble where he forced the ball from running back Ameer Abdullah and then he dove on the ball to recover it. Combs had a pick-six in the redzone, springing into the air to snag a pass and return it all the way to the far endzone.
It'll be something to monitor going forward, but both players are in contention.
Running back room is set despite 'OR' designation
The Jagaurs also used the "OR" designation at the running back position, listing second-year back Bhayshul Tuten and newcomer Chris Rodriguez next to each other as starters.
It's likely not for the same reason as when they used the designation for the linebackers. Both backs have different skillsets that'll be useful to the team's overall success.
After Rodriguez missed the entire on-field portion of the offseason, he's looked impressive to start training camp. His physicality showed up as the team transitioned to padded practices. It'll be a key to the running attack when the Jaguars find themselves in short yardage situations.
On the other hand, Tuten has been a standout all summer. His speed combined with a seemingly better vision has resulted in him breaking off several long carries. The team will need that change of pace as they attack defenses and hope to break off similar plays in the regular season.
Where Jacksonville's rookie draft class is listed
None of the 2026 draft class is listed as a starter on the first unofficial depth chart. But several players have climbed their way to the role of immediate backups.
Williams and Cameron are next in line behind Jacksonville's starting receivers. Nate Boerkircher is listed behind Brenton Strange, but he'll be first up when the Jaguars are in multi tight end sets. The same goes for Tanner Koziol when the team transitions to three tight end looks.
Emmanuel Pregnon has earned the reserve left guard spot behind Ezra Cleveland. Albert Regis is the immediate backup for DaVon Hamilton and Wesley Williams finds himself behind Danny Striggow.
Jalen Huskey finds himself behind Rayuan Lane III, who's behind Eric Murray, but Huskey got first-team defensive reps in practice during Day 11 of training camp. It's a good sign for his standing.
Zach Durfee and Parker Hughes are both listed as third string reserve players and Durfee has missed multiple practices since the team's intersquad game last week.
