See the full story · 2 sourcesThe Kansas City Chiefs ' new-look secondary is chock-full of talented young players, and rookie defensive backs Jadon Canady and Mansoor Delane are poised to play meaningful snaps as members of the unit during their first seasons in the NFL.
During comments to the media at Chiefs training camp on July 26, Canady — who joined Kansas City as a fifth-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft — talked about his early interactions with the No. 6 overall pick.
“[It is] definitely great," Canady said of his relationship with Delane. "We had some guys leave last year. This year is basically a whole new back end. Me and [CB Mansoor] Soor [Delane] talk a lot about the plays and hang out and eat lunch together. [We are] still building that bond.”
Chiefs fans should expect Canady and Delane to excel in drills at training camp as they continue to develop chemistry and learn their new roles in Steve Spagnuolo's retooled defense.
