The Indianapolis Colts are hoping that their 2026 campaign will progress how last season’s first half fared before things surprisingly snowballed yet again for another late season collapse.
With a fully healthy Daniel Jones at starting quarterback, the Colts featured a historically elite offense, and once sat at 8-2 at their midseason BYE week. However, critical later season lower leg injuries to Jones, capped off by a season-ending torn Achilles, derailed Indianapolis’ once promising campaign—as the Colts lost 7 straight games, falling to 8-7, and failed to make the playoffs again in rather stunning fashion.
The Colts have not made the playoffs since 2020 and haven’t won the AFC South since 2014.
They’re hoping that changes as with Jones re-signed and looking healthy coming off the Achilles tear, and with a full season of last year’s trade deadline acquisition, former All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner, to anchor their secondary, they could be poised to reclaim their 2025 midseason form and return to postseason play.
