During last night’s matchup between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky, things got heated outside of the game of basketball once again. Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom attended as a fan but was swiftly removed in the third quarter after a confrontation with Sky star Natasha Cloud.
In an interview with Jack Thompson of Fox News, Enes tried to explain his position on the matter after receiving backlash.
Enes Kanter Freedom says Natasha Cloud confronted him after he celebrated a Sophie Cunningham three-pointer, telling him, “She’s not gonna sleep with you.”

“Towards the end of the third quarter Sophie Cunningham shot a three and um I put my hands up to celebrate right and literally uh a couple possessions later Natasha came back and starts screaming and yelling and said, ‘she’s not gonna sleep with you,’ and I was like, I am not trying to sleep with her, I’m just here to protect women and support her,” Kanter said.
“…she started to walk towards me, and literally I just got up, and then I was like, ‘I’m just here to protect women and that’s all,’ right, and then she started to yell; she started to, uh, use some very heavy language; she started to actually cuss…I just cannot believe that she was just cussing and using those F-bombs in front of all these kids…I’m sure she’s loved in Chicago, and many kids are idolizing her and stuff, but that’s not how a WNBA athlete should react, “Kanter added.

Though wearing a shirt ‘proclaiming’ his allegiance to women and attending the pregame rally outside the Sky’s arena, Kanter still said he had no ill will leading up to last night’s game.
“ My manager texted the GM of the Chicago Sky ,” Freedom said. “We texted him and said, ‘Hey, just so you know, we are coming to the game. We’re not here to cause any kind of drama. We’re not here to cause anything bad. We are just here to watch the game and leave in peace.’ My manager texted the GM, and he said, ‘Enjoy the game.’ That’s it.”
